Similarity between movie clip and graphic symbol: They will cover the same number of frames.
Differences between movie clip and graphic symbol:
1. Graphic symbol will move along the timeline and animate as we scrub. But movie clip symbol does will not.
2. Movie clip symbol can be given an instance name. Graphic symbol does not.
3.  There is a looping option for graphic symbol, but movie clip symbol does not.
